Sumaya Bahamdoon

is a Recruitment Partner with Jumpstart Refugee Talent, where she advocates for better inclusion of refugee talent in the Canadian workforce by building relationships with employers and supporting refugees in finding meaningful employment. She has 15+ years of experience in Business and Organizational Development working in both start-up environments as well as multinational pharmaceuticals, insurance, and consumer packaged goods companies in the MENA region. She has strong business acumen skills and has implemented HR strategies that align the organization's human capital management and overall business objectives. Through her efforts, she has protected organizations from potential legal and financial liabilities and ensured that their employee management and HR practices align with their values and overall business goals. She is bilingual, speaking Arabic and English and is passionate about the topic of refugee economic inclusion and believes the commitment to this cause will make a significant impact in improving the lives of refugees and creating a more equitable society for all.

Tiffany Bliley

is the Director of Talent Acquisition at EQ Bank. She leads a team who plan the strategies and outreach to attract the best talent to fill roles within the organization. Previous to this, Tiffany was the Recruitment Leader for the Technology & Operations and Corporate Areas of the Bank of Montreal, having spent 12+ years there, she held roles in Recruitment Leadership in North America and completed several projects to fix big hairy problems that arose in various businesses along the way. Her previous background was Executive Search, she sourced the hard to find across North America for Hudson Management Search. Tiffany started her career at both Humber College and the Toronto District School Board helping people land jobs through various career development programs.

Dave Mayers

is a visionary and technology evangelist, spearheading ground-breaking research as the Chief Scientist at Knockri.  In his current role, he works as a trusted domain expert focused on the adoption of automation in Human Resources - building trust in AI through transparency, accountability, and risk mitigation. With a deep understanding of workplace psychology and machine learning, he works with Fortune 100 clients to design and implement novel approaches to the automation of employee interviews, helping to solve issues related to efficiency, job performance, and discrimination in employee decision-making. 

He has worked on numerous research projects in the areas of job analysis, assessment development, and machine learning, culminating in numerous publications and presentations at leading industry conferences worldwide. His work is shaping the future of employee-decision making, enabling companies to leverage the power of technology while ensuring fairness and equality in their processes. 

Darrell Pinto, Senior Executive

is a senior executive who has honed his strategic consulting and people-focused leadership in Toronto, New York, London and Shanghai at companies spanning private and public financial markets, pharmaceuticals, media and non-profits. He is currently Director of Employment at Jumpstart Refugee Talent where he leverages his extensive corporate relationships to create a pathway to meaningful employment for refugees.

He thrives in situations where he can combine solving big problems through design thinking and his capacious commitment to volunteerism and community building is rooted in his belief that that we are all stronger if we can find ways to help each other be our best. He has served on the boards of several non-profits and was a previous co-chair with Senator Ratna Omidvar the national Refugee Jobs Agenda Roundtable, a working coalition of 150 Canadian organizations collaborating to find meaningful jobs for refugees. He is host of a national talk show on the New Canadians TV platform on issues related to inclusion, immigration and multiculturalism.

Darrell came to Canada as an international student, earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy/History from Western University and his MBA from the Rotman School of Management.
